Step Outside This Easter at New Forest Wildlife Park
27th Mar 2026
Hampshire's favourite wildlife park invites families to swap the sofa for ancient woodland with fresh air, open space, and animals this Easter holiday.
Running from 27th March to 12th April 2026, Easter at New Forest Wildlife Park offers families the perfect antidote to screen time, a day of wildlife discovery, woodland exploration, and springtime adventure set against the backdrop of the ancient New Forest.
With over 200 animals from over 30 species within the park's spacious, tree-lined grounds, visitors can enjoy watching British and native wildlife in natural, open surroundings. From majestic deer drifting through the woodland in the park's walk-through deer encounter, to the antics of the smooth-coated otter cubs splashing and exploring in the spring sunshine, and the large endangered giant otter family playing together, there's no better place to reconnect with nature this Easter.
The Easter egg hunt & wildlife quiz around the park, combines the excitement of finding hidden Easter eggs with fascinating facts about the animals that call the park home. Quiz sheets are available throughout the holidays for just £2, with a prize included.
For those who love to learn as they roam, extra daily keeper talks give visitors of all ages the chance to hear directly from the expert team who care for the park's resident wildlife and visitors may even see some of the animals enjoying their own Easter enrichment.
Adventurers can also burn off that spring energy in the park's two adventure playgrounds, while the Forest Kitchen Café is on hand with Easter-themed treats to fuel the fun after a long morning exploring in the fresh air.
To add to the adventure, after its winter closure, the Native Species Butterfly House will reopen and includes species such as European pond turtle, three-spined stickleback, yellow-tailed scorpions and yellow-bellied toads.
New Forest Wildlife Park is located at Deerleap Lane, Southampton, SO40 4UH, and is open daily. Keeper talks are included in general admission.
