Reopening Safety Measures
From Monday 12th April 2021 you'll be able to visit the wildlife park and see some of the amazing animals that we share our planet with.
We are following the latest government guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and have introduced a number of measures at the park to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for all of our visitors.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our wildlife park is committed to providing a safe outdoor environment where our guests can enjoy the fresh air and reconnect with the natural world. To help us achieve this goal, please listen to our friendly team members, maintain social distancing, follow our signposted safety notices and most of all... have a great day at the park!
- NHS Track and Trace
NHS Track and Trace scanning points can be found at the park entrance. It is required that all visitors over the age of 16 use this service, so please ensure you have the NHS app downloaded on your smartphone or fill out the manual forms before leaving the park.
- Face coverings
Face coverings are mandatory in ALL indoor areas in the park including the toilets, when exiting through the shop, in our takeaway cafe and while moving through the glasshouse. They are NOT mandatory when outdoors anywhere around the park.
- Cashless payments at the park gate
It is preferable for our members and visitors to use contactless payments for entry and within the park in order to reduce the amount of cash changing hands.
- Visitors can purchase tickets at the park entrance on the day of their visit
We are not currently running a pre-booking or time-slot booking system. Car parking works on a first come first served basis. Our team is constantly monitoring the site and our visitor capacity.
- Helping our visitors practice social distancing
Upon entering the park you will see a clear one-way system has been designed to guide you around the park. We ask everyone to follow the Government's latest social distancing guidelines and maintain a safe 2-metre distance from one another.
- Hand washing stations around the park
At frequent stops around the park, we have hand washing facilities and have added hand sanitiser dispensers which will make it easy for our visitors to regularly clean their hands.
- Keeper talks are currently suspended
To avoid large crowds from forming we have suspended our daily schedule of keeper talks. But don't worry, our friendly keepers are always on hand to chat and answer your questions around the park.
