Guided visit

Experienced guides take you and your students on a guided tour of the park then lead an interactive workshop which will encourage hands on learning. The education cabins will be available for your use, where your group will be able to leave belongings and have lunch if required.

Pricing

£9.50 per child (under 16's). One supervising staff member is admitted free with every five paying children.

£12.50 per student (16+). One supervising staff member is admitted free with every five paying students.

Additional adults pay the normal admission price £15.95

Note: Minimum of 15 students.

Unguided visit

This option is suitable for those who wish to make their own way around the park. All that is included is a discounted entry price.

Please note: groups booking an unguided visit are not allocated a tour guide and do not have access to the education cabins.

FAQs

Generally school groups arrive between 10-10.30 a.m. and leave between 2-2.30 p.m. These timings are flexible.

If you have booked the guided option, your group will be allocated our Education Room for the visit, and the children may eat packed lunches there. For the unguided option, there is a picnic area the children can use on fine days, or alternatively they may eat lunch in the onsite Forest kitchen restaurant.

There are toilets located at the entrance to the park, by the restaurant. Please note there are 2 toilets located halfway around in the large playground however we recommend all children use the main toilets before entry to avoid lengthy queues for 2 cubicles.

You can pay on the day or we can invoice after your visit.

This depends on the tour option you choose. For the Guided option, a guide will be with you for the duration of the visit, except at lunch time. The unguided option is self-guided. Please note that our friendly and knowledgeable keepers are also on hand around the park to answer your questions.

Yes on a guided visit the guide leads the tour and classroom sessions but the teachers are ultimately responsible for the children.
